About the American Council of Notaries Public

The American Council of Notaries Public (ACNP) was founded in 1983 to help Notaries Public make the right choice when it comes to Notary stamps and seals, errors and omissions insurance, and information you need to stay current in the world of Notaries. 

While other Notary Associations focus on training, conferences, magazines and notary supplies, ACNP focuses on defending your personal liability through automatic professional liability insurance that is included in your membership. If you are a Notary located in the United States or a U.S. territory, notary errors and omissions insurance is included in your annual membership fee.

The Council is a Georgia not-for-profit corporation chartered in 1983.  We have been meeting the professional needs of thousands of satisfied Notaries for over two decades.
